Q. What is Day of Giving?
Day of Giving is an opportunity to support our EU students and prepare them for thoughtful and productive lives of Christian faith, leadership, and service. Alumni, staff, students, and friends of the University are invited to join us for 1,925 minutes of giving - honoring our founding in 1925!
Q. When is Day of Giving?
Day of Giving will take place on March 19-20 | 8:00AM on March 19 - 4:00PM on March 20.
Q. Can I send a gift by mail or phone?
Yes. However, due to the tight turnaround period of Day of Giving, only gifts made online, by phone or in response to Day of Giving mailings count toward overall totals and competitions (if applicable). If you would like to make a gift by phone on March 20 - 21, please call (610) 341-5932.
Q. Who can donate?
All are welcome to support the EU community. All you need is a credit card and access to the internet.
Q. Is there a minimum donation?
Yes, there is a $5 minimum donation.
Q. Where does my Day of Giving gift go?
Supporters are encouraged to give to the Eastern Fund which provides the University with the additional annual resources to meet the most important financial need of the University -- financial aid and scholarships for our students. However, you can also designate your gift to the area of campus that means the most to you! 20% of every donation on the Day of Giving supports the Eastern Fund.
Q. How much of my donation goes to Eastern University?
GiveGab (our Day of Giving Platform) retains a 3.5% campaign management fee from all donations. Credit Card processing fees are an additional 2.5% + $0.30 for all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). You are given the option to cover the fees and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to the receiving organization. All donations are final and cannot be refunded. Any donations processed outside of Day of Giving donation period, through GiveGab.com, or subsequent recurring donations are subject to transaction fees outlined on the GiveGab.com pricing page: http://info.givegab.com/pricing.
Q. How much of my donation goes to Eastern University?
The participating areas you choose to support will have access to your name and email address. This information is used solely to send thank you messages, provide the option to receive future notifications, and to notify you of future activities.
Q. Is my Day of Giving contribution tax deductible?
Yes, your gift is entirely tax deductible. You will receive an email confirmation that may serve as your receipt for tax purposes.
Q. Can I promote Day of Giving?
Please do! We encourage you to share the images and messages that are located in the Ambassador Toolkit. Send an email to classmates, post on your Instagram, Facebook, text your friends. Be sure to use #EUDayofGiving in your posts.
